日本の政治家の質
オカダは政治と宗教と戦争の話はしない主義なのだが、内田先生が触れておられるので、政治家、その中でも変人と呼ばれる政治家について少しだけ書いておく。
そういえば、小泉純一郎という政治家は、まさしく世襲政治家であり、三代目だ。そしてあの容貌、パフォーマンスからして、長男同様俳優としてもやっていけるのではないか。現実に俳優になることはないだろうが、今年の１０月以降、ＴＶのワイドショー番組などに引っ張りダコになるだろう。
思い起こせば、小泉首相は２００３年１月２３日の衆院予算委員会において、「新規国債発行３０兆円枠」という公約が守られなかったのに、「この程度の約束を守れなかったのは大したことではない」と述べていた。
他にも、昨年の年金問題で「人生いろいろ、会社もいろいろ、社員もいろいろ」と答えていたことも思い出される。
内田先生は著書『子どもは判ってくれない』の「たいへんに長いまえがき」の中で、
「敵とともに生き、反対者とともに統治する」ことをオルテガは市民の基本的な構えであると書いているのである。
私はこのような考え方が今の私たちの社会にもっとも欠けているものではないかと思う。
と書かれている。
「郵政民営化」というただ１点において自分の主張と異なる意見を持つ者は、自民党として公認しない、という小泉首相の姿勢は、首相が、まさに公人であるところの「市民」ではないことを如実に物語っているように思う。
