『食堂かたつむり』
小川糸 『食堂かたつむり』 ポプラ社 を読んだ。インド人の恋人にネコババされた主人公が、山間の田舎にある実家に帰り、物置小屋を借りて食堂を開く、というお話。その食堂では、１日１組のお客に限定し、お客の要望に最大限応えるというスタイル。
登場する料理が、地元でとれる山の幸、海の幸をふんだんに使っていて、すごく美味しそうだった。作者の、料理に対する強い愛情と造詣の深さが感じられた。
ストーリーも、料理を通じての母親やペットのブタ、様々なお客さまたちとの交流が描かれていて、しみじみと、また一面せつない気分になった。
この本を読んで、オカダも久しぶりに料理が作ってみたくなり、作ったのがこれ。
ワカメといりこで出汁をとり、冷凍うどんを入れて茹でた。揚げはしょうゆとみりんで煮込んだ。お汁はちょっと辛く、逆に揚げは甘さが足りない感じだった。ご当地風にじゃこてんも入れてみた。食えないことはなかったのでよしとしよう(笑)。

この本、人気がありますよね。僕も前から読みたいと思っていて、ようやく借りることができました。

そうですよね。読んでて味覚が刺激されますよね。
あはは、うけましたか。簡単そうな料理でも、味付けはなかなか難しいですね。料理は身体にも脳にもいいそうなので、これからもなるべく挑戦しようと思ってます。ほんと、毎日やっている人はえらいですね。
